DONATIONS

For the year July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010, program and recital fees covered less than 55% of the program's operating costs, with donations and fundraising making up the difference. Financial statement summaries of the Association's activities are available upon written request from a parent or guardian of Amici students, or potential o actual funders.

Donations towards the program will be gratefully accepted, and you will receive a tax receipt for any amount over $10.

FUNDRAISING

Casino

Amici is approved to operate a casino on Thursday January 19 and Friday January 20, 2012. Volunteers are still needed to fill some of these positions.

Grocery Store Gift Cards

One easy way of raising money to support extra activities in the Amici program is purchasing Grocery store gift cards. These gift cards are purchased in bulk by Amici at a discount, and then resold to Amici parents and friends. The gift cards can be used like cash in these stores, and allow the accumulation of Airmiles, Co-op membership, etc. In 2009-10, gift card sales raised over $1600 for Amici programs, at no cost to parents. Information about this program will be distributed during the year. While not mandatory, we request that each family purchase at least $200 in both the fall and the spring.
